The business was founded by Mr. John A. Koons in 1968 and occupied a
small storefront on Fowler Street. Mr Koons had an apprentice named
Steve Lewis who took over the business about 1977. The present owner
is George M. Klein, a third generation locksmith who relocated from
Louisville, Kentucky and purchased the business in 1979.
